The Aluminum Avian Antics, Team 8526, is a 4-H FTC robotics team comprised of students in grades 7th to 12th. We are members of the Champlain Shamrocks 4-H group. This is our fourth year doing FTC. We want to learn all that we can.
FTC (First Tech Challenge) is a robotics program sponsored by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) whose goal is to advance the knowledge of robotics in middle and high school students by having them compete head to head in a sports themed event. ”Teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. The robot kit is reusable from year-to-year and is programmed using a variety of languages. Teams, including coaches, mentors and volunteers, are required to develop strategy and build robots based on sound engineering principles.” (FTC website) For more information about FTC, visit http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/ftc
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The Aluminum Avian Antics' team goal is to improve and increase the team's knowledge of robotics and engineering, to have fun together, to learn by doing, and to make the best better.
