SOFTWARE FOR THIS YEAR:

This year, First Tech Challenge changed the software available for us to use. This year, we are using FTC Blocks, it is similar to MIT App Inventor (which we've used for the previous 2 years). So far we are able to drive forwards and backwards, and left to right while still facing forwards. This is because of our mechanumwheels. They are special wheels that allow us to drive sideways.
We also are working on an autonomous program to detect the color of the jewel and react accordingly.
